It is clear that for those visitors to whom someone pays for their business trip, the choice of the hotel will obvious.
Another thing is if a person is interested in saving money, then the scales will shift towards the second option.
Let’s consider the general trends and offers in the market.

Option #1 – Renting a cottage in Minsk
The cost of renting a cottage in Minsk, with all amenities, where there are at least two bedrooms, from about 800 to 5000 USD.
Security systems connected to the police, video monitoring, a good fence, the level of criminal situation is the lowest.
Amenities: Good environmental standards, silence, privacy, except little minus – the problem of transport links, only a private car or taxi is used.

*In Belarus there’s no such idea as bedrooms per apartment. Only physical apartments are taken into consideration. Bedrooms can be arranged in any extra room in 1+ apartment.

Security. Given the location in the center of Minsk, the crime is low, the neighbors are relatively quiet and well-mannered, their attitude towards foreigners is with understanding.
Ecology. Doctors do not recommend to drink tap water. Silence is an unattainable luxury for the city center. Any transport. Walking distance to the historical center, cultural sites, cafes and restaurants are plentiful.
Option #4 – Apartments in “sleeping” (residential) districts.

2 room apartment – from 300 to 500 USD
3 room apartment – from 400 to 600 USD
Security. You can meet rudeness and occasionally violence (rarely, but possible). People sometimes urinate in elevators and in garbage chutes. Neighbors can smoke in the porches, sometimes they can drink beer in the same place.
Ecology. In the Зеленый Луг (Green Meadow) district you can meet a forest and a clean lake.
